After all the EPs and Demos which we recorded in the past the time was ripe for the first full length.We started writing new songs and took a little pause from playing shows. Our aim was to write new powerful and honest songs and of course the result should have to be as perfect as possible. In the meantime Martin left the band for some personal/musical issues. Ben[Rolling Studios] did all the recordings for us again.This is also the final recording he did. A few months later he quit Rolling Studios and set himself new goals. We really liked ‘Roswell Overdose’[A Mindless Youth EP] and thought it would match very well with the new material.So we re-recorded the song with our friend Mazel[Time Has Come].We also did another feature on ‘Limbo Circles’ with our long year friend Mahatma[The Groovy Orphanage].
MHTR is a concept album.It tells the story of a vagabond who asks for the sense of life.The character is stuck in a quarterlife crisis which is denoted by identification problems. He reflects the world, the society, the rules and roles.
We sent out some demos to labels again. Many of them liked our stuff but they were afraid to burn their fingers.They said this style of music is just too special.
Some gave us the possibility to release our music but they demand a payment.
Those guys pretend to do something for you. They don’t like your music and they won’t put it out on there label. Then they create a ‘sub label’ which gladly takes your money for support.Hardcore 2011.
Thats the reason we decided to bring it out by ourselfs again. We found our own Label APE REC. which supports some friends bands and our own projects.
I think you can say on this record we finally found our own sound/style and our own way to make music.Feel free to check out the music video for ‘Empires True Silhouette’ or the studio diaries we did on YouTube/Interview.

Just a short while after releasing the Flashlight Phobia EP Martin entered the band as the second singer.Furthermore our guitar player Bouncy had to leave the band for health reasons.I think we only played one or two shows as a six piece.
The song writing with Martin went really quick and we decided to record a three-song EP for promoters and to let the people know how SLEEVE sounds with two singers and just one guitar.We got to know Ben[Rolling Studio] later who ran a mobile recording studio.We were impressed by his work he did for some other berlin bands.You just can’t hear that his recordings were done in some dirty cellars.So we decided to return to the rehearshal room to record the whole EP with Ben.Everything went out quiet good and I think it sounds much bigger and better than the first EP.The feedback was enormous and we decided to do a little DIY release.There were only thirty 3”CDRs avaible in 3 different colours which were gone really fast.I think there will be no repress.
There was a download link up a while at our myspace page but this hasn’t worked for a long while now.So here we go again…

After a few months with Dude as the new vocalist we had seven new songs and thought its time for some professional recordings(with click tracks,an engineer and stuff like that).In summer 2007 we entered a real studio for the first time.We just did some shitty rehearshal demos before.It was in a nice youth club were we had our very first show in 2005.After finishing all the recordings it took a long while mixing/mastering it and looking for labels & artwork stuff.When we recognized none of the big labels were interested in releasing the EP Tom[Yehonala/CMB] came up with the idea releasing it via his diy label.Said and done.There are just five new songs on the CD and we never really released the other ones.Now we decided to give all the seven songs from this recording session to you for free.

From todays point of view I think you can hear we just started doing all this math and chaos stuff here.There was a bigger ‘death(-core)’ influence here and there as you can hear and everything sounds a little too much sometimes.

This Split was released in 2007 because of a planned tour we wanted to promote.We gave it away for free to promoters and kids that seemed to be interested in putting on a show.30 Copies were gone really fast (same as the repress 2008).Now we decided to make it available to everyone that cares.These are old demos of ours but it also represented a new & fresh time for us where things started rolling again.These are the first demos with dude as the new guy for the vocals. “Unpoetic Therapist” came out later in a new recorded version on the Flashlight Phobia EP.
